Asaf Rappaport, the new owner of Reshet 13, is continuing his efforts to strengthen the network by recruiting senior figures and top talent from its main competitor, Keshet 12 and its news division.
According to a report in TheMarker, Rappaport recently held at least one meeting with Channel 12's political analyst Amit Segal to explore the possibility of his moving to Channel 13 News.
However, according to assessments circulating in the media industry, Segal is not expected to accept the offer and is set to remain in his position as Channel 12 News's leading political commentator.
The approach to Segal is part of a series of moves and attempts by Reshet 13's new ownership to reshape the channel and bolster its news division in the ratings battle against competing networks.
