EU Foreign Minister and Hamas both defend ICC against U.S. sanctions

EU Foreign Minister Kaja Kallas defended the International Criminal Court against expected American sanctions, calling the ICC "a cornerstone of the international criminal justice system." Hamas also issued a statement defending the court, describing U.S. sanctions as "a grave attack on international justice and an overt attempt to protect Netanyahu and the leaders of the occupation from being prosecuted for war crimes, genocide, and crimes against humanity." Hamas called on countries signatory to the Rome Statute to reject the sanctions and support the ICC.
