Gadi Eisenkot vows to form government, says majority voted against Netanyahu
Gadi Eisenkot, chairman of the Yashar! with Eisenkot Party, stated that the majority of Israeli citizens voted against "the government of October 7 and draft evasion" by a margin of more than half a million votes. He described the elections as "the most consequential in Israel's history" and pledged to work toward forming a "Zionist, statesmanlike government based on the broadest possible national consensus." Eisenkot promised to establish a state commission of inquiry, advance universal national service obligations, strengthen IDF recruitment, and repeal judicial overhaul laws. He emphasized that "in the State of Israel, it is the Knesset that grants confidence to the government, not the other way around."
