Blue and White party chairman Benny Gantz has revealed he will pull out of the election race if polls conducted during the final week of the campaign show his party failing to cross the electoral threshold required to enter the Knesset.
Speaking on the Times of Israel's Lazar Focus podcast, Gantz outlined the conditions under which he would end his campaign. "I have a commitment only to my voters," he said. "I can guarantee that their vote won't be thrown in the trash, because we'll cross the threshold --- or I won't run in the last week or so. So no vote will be wasted."
The statement marks a shift for Gantz, who throughout the recent period has repeatedly denied that he would withdraw from the race, insisting he would remain in the contest until the end.
