Herzog says he has broad discretion in choosing who will form government

Israeli President Isaac Herzog stated ahead of consultations beginning today that he has "very broad discretion when deciding which member of the Knesset to task with forming a government." He said he intends to hold rigorous discussions and will conduct additional rounds of consultations at various levels if necessary.
