High Readiness Declared: Israeli Defense Establishment Prepares for Possible Iranian Retaliation

Wall Street markets fell sharply and defense forces raised readiness levels across the Middle East as American military units prepared potential strikes against targets in Iran.

Global financial markets experienced heavy losses while regional military forces entered peak alert levels amid preparations for imminent American strikes against Iranian targets. Wall Street equity values plummeted by more than one trillion dollars as investors reacted to reports of heavy US Air Force activity across the Persian Gulf, including fighter jet flights over Iranian border cities like Piranshahr, Kermanshah, and Tabriz.

Speaking on the rapid escalation, President Donald Trump revealed that Tehran attempted to diffuse tensions following earlier missile launches toward American positions in Jordan. "The Iranians apologized for the firing into Jordan, but we will still need to hit them a little," Trump stated during communications regarding the impending operation.

Defensive preparations accelerated inside Israel as defense leadership elevated readiness to maximum levels due to potential retaliatory missile launches from Tehran. Israeli security officials evaluated a high probability of direct Iranian counterattacks against targets within Israel if American forces launch offensive strikes from regional bases, prompting increased air defense monitoring across all sectors.

Simultaneously, local security forces inside Israel initiated an unannounced, nationwide exercise simulating widespread terror infiltration scenarios across every district. The sudden police drill coincides with heightened civilian vigilance and heavy air traffic at Ben Gurion Airport, where dozens of commercial and transport aircraft departed during late night operations.

Tensions also intensified along the northern border, where an explosive drone launched by Hezbollah hit an IDF D9 engineering vehicle near the Ali Taher Ridge in southern Lebanon. The IDF Spokesperson's Unit confirmed the breach, stating that no injuries occurred while emphasizing that troops will remain in position along the ridge to neutralize ongoing threats.

Further east, pro Iranian militias in Iraq confirmed that joint military operations conducted by American and Saudi forces killed at least 20 operatives and injured 32 others during targeted strikes. Regional observers monitoring aviation radar reported an unusually large presence of 12 American aerial refueling tankers operating over the Persian Gulf alongside heavy flight activity near Babil, Iraq.

According to military assessment reports provided to REUTERS, American defense officials signaled that scheduled operations in Iran will represent a major campaign designed to degrade offensive military infrastructure.
