The directive cited a specific incident from July 17 involving footage uploaded to Instagram showing service members running to bunkers during an attack on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan. The video was recorded using Meta smart glasses worn by deployed personnel during active engagement.
Following the issuance of the directive, service members stationed at facilities in Jordan were notified that they may be required to surrender personal electronic devices in the coming days.
