IDF Chief of Staff: AI integration will reshape battlefield, enable human-machine warfare

IDF Chief of the General Staff LTG Eyal Zamir concluded a special conference on integrating artificial intelligence into the military, stating that AI "is a revolution that is reshaping the 21st century" and that "the battlefield has been undergoing one of the fastest, most profound, and most dramatic transformations in military history." Zamir said the IDF has "a responsibility and an obligation to be a global leader in innovation and transformation, including the adoption and integration of advanced artificial intelligence and robotics capabilities." He announced that manned units will operate in coordination with unmanned systems to achieve operational advantage. The forum was held at the IDF Communications and Cyber Defense Campus in Beer Sheva with General Staff members and brigade commanders.
