Iran accepts mediation framework but rejects nuclear terms, demands war end before talks

Tehran has agreed in principle to a mediation framework while rejecting its nuclear conditions, sources told Lebanon's Al-Akhbar newspaper. Iran demands that nuclear negotiations begin only after the war concludes, the U.S. naval blockade is removed, and the Strait of Hormuz is reopened. A proposed five-day plan would see Iran reopen the strait in return for the U.S. lifting its blockade, and permit inspections of nuclear facilities during that period.
