Iran refuses to reopen Strait of Hormuz until US meets 7 conditions, senior official says
Iran will not reopen the Strait of Hormuz unless the United States first fulfills seven conditions and guarantees Iranian interests, including financial issues, Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, stated. Each condition contains 2 or 3 additional requirements, he noted. Tehran is awaiting a final American response, potentially arriving tomorrow. If received, implementation of agreements could begin in a corridor at the center of the strait. Rezaei described those waters, shared with Oman, as under Iranian administration.
