Iraqi Militia Leader Threatens U.S. Targets if Khamenei Is Harmed

Akram al-Kaabi, leader of the Iraqi militia Harakat al-Nujaba, warned Thursday that if any harm comes to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, “no American base, civilian, worker, or soldier will be safe.” The statement marks a clear threat of regional escalation against U.S. interests should Israel or the United States target Khamenei directly.
