Israel cuts gasoline excise tax by 0.50 NIS per liter for 26 days

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich signed an order reducing the excise tax on gasoline by 50 agorot per liter through the end of the month, a 26-day period. The measure aims to offset a price increase that would have occurred without government action. Starting at midnight tonight, the price of one liter of gasoline at self-service pumps will be NIS 7.85.
