Israel Warns Syria: No Troop Buildup South of Damascus

Amid reports of possible normalization with Syria, ministers were briefed today that “Israel will not allow the deployment of Syrian regime forces or weapons south of Damascus in an attempt to establish a foothold in the area. Any such attempt will be immediately thwarted.”
