Israeli defendant charged with planning terrorist attacks, attempted to recruit politician Moshe Feiglin
An Israeli defendant is charged with spending approximately 18 months attempting to recruit supporters for planned terrorist attacks. He conducted reconnaissance around Tuba-Zangariyye to assess attack routes, intending to target the community. The defendant planned to recruit Moshe Feiglin, head of the Zehut party, and use his assistance to recruit additional activists at a party event where participants would be briefed and told they would carry out attacks the following day. After Feiglin did not respond to multiple approaches at public events, the defendant sent an extortion letter threatening to publicize it and damage Feiglin's reputation before elections unless he cooperated. Two days later, the defendant delivered the letter to Feiglin's home.
