Israeli Defense Minister blames opposition for undermining deterrence, warns of future attacks

Defense Minister Israel Katz accused opposition leaders Yair Lapid, Naftali Bennett, and Yair Golan of undermining Israel's deterrence and encouraging enemies to attack. Katz stated that any future attacks or terrorist incidents would be attributed to opposition members who criticize him and the Prime Minister for warning about intelligence indicating enemies plan attacks around elections to influence results. He said such criticism demonstrates "a disconnect from reality and narrow political interests," adding that he and the Prime Minister will continue protecting citizens and striking enemies "with force, at any time and in any place."
