Israeli police arrest 7 in vote-buying scheme linked to Ra'am party
Israeli police arrested seven suspects, including three school principals, in connection with an alleged vote-buying operation involving Mansour Abbas's Ra'am party. Authorities seized cash, envelopes with thousands of shekels, and election materials during the investigation. Households were reportedly offered between ₪200 and ₪300 in exchange for political support. In a separate probe, the Shin Bet is examining intelligence that suggests tens of millions of shekels from Qatar may have been used to influence the election. Likud is seeking to overturn results at polling stations where alleged violations took place.
