Israeli President warns Estonia about Ali Larijani's role in 2006 Lebanon War

Israeli President Isaac Herzog told Estonia's Foreign Minister that Ali Larijani, as head of Iran's National Security Council in 2006, flew out of Lebanon after planning the operation with Hezbollah's Nasrallah that triggered the Second Lebanon War. The war began with the abduction of two IDF soldiers patrolling the border. Herzog stated: "Ali Larijani spread terror and hatred among the worst we have known in recent generations, and so did the commander of the Basij. I sincerely hope that the Middle East will see a new horizon emerge from this conflict, and that the world and Europe will benefit from it."
