Italy's Defence Minister blames social media for hybrid war against Western countries

Italy's Defence Minister Guido Crosetto stated that TikTok, YouTube and social media platforms are tools of a hybrid war being waged against Western nations, citing them as the cause of recent riots in Milan and other Italian cities. He reported that three in ten young people participated in the demonstrations and six in ten supported them. Crosetto argued that young Italians are being influenced by a counter-education system operating outside families and schools, shaping their values and worldview in ways that conflict with democratic principles.
