Japanese terrorist Kozo Okamoto dies in Beirut
Kozo Okamoto, the Japanese terrorist who participated in the 1972 Lod Airport massacre, has died in Beirut. Okamoto was released in the 1985 Jibril prisoner exchange deal. The Lod Airport attack killed 26 people and wounded dozens more when three Japanese Red Army members opened fire in the terminal on behalf of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
