Journalist and author Ari Shavit has sharply criticized the political strategy of excluding Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from power, arguing that this approach has damaged the country. In an interview on the "Editors' Committee" program on Galei Israel radio, hosted by Doron Cohen and Eitan Orkibi, Shavit addressed Israel's political situation and the tactics of opposition leader Yair Lapid.
"Despite not being a Netanyahu supporter or a right-winger, I have opposed the 'anyone but Bibi' approach all these years," Shavit explained at the outset. "I believed that 'anyone but Bibi' was a disaster for the right and a disaster for the left, a disaster for everyone. I think Yair Lapid adopted the 'anyone but Bibi' line, and that's what led him astray."
