Lieberman accuses Eisenkot of planning post-election coalition with Netanyahu

Yisrael Beiteinu leader Avigdor Lieberman accused former IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot of undermining unity within the anti-Netanyahu bloc, claiming Eisenkot's campaign aims to become larger than Likud and negotiate a government with Netanyahu after elections. Lieberman cited discussions by Minister Miki Zohar about cooperation with Eisenkot, President Herzog's reported initiative for a Netanyahu-Eisenkot government, and White House briefings as evidence. He criticized Eisenkot's military conscription proposal, which would allow deferments for up to 3% of each draft cohort (approximately 4,500 students annually), saying it would maintain exemptions from IDF service. Lieberman emphasized that universal military service and a constitution are not mere election slogans for his party.
