Ministry of Transport failed to use National Passenger Analysis Center database
The Ministry of Transport never authorized employees to access the National Passenger Analysis Center database, submitted no queries, and failed to pay its share of costs, according to a report. The database was established to allow ministries to track passengers for security and health purposes—such as identifying pilots from hostile countries or monitoring epidemic-related arrivals. Other ministries used the system, including to locate Israeli women missing in Vienna. The failure prevented the ministry from identifying pilots from hostile countries despite a policy barring their entry.
