Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a meeting with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Thursday, shortly before delivering his address to the assembly.

Israeli prime minister held talks with Greek counterpart Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Slovenian PM Janez Janša on sidelines of General Assembly in New York
According to a statement from the Prime Minister's Office, the two leaders discussed regional developments, cooperation in the energy sector, and plans to advance another trilateral summit with Cyprus, following the last joint summit held among the three nations this past December.
The statement added that Netanyahu "emphasized the importance of the strategic partnership between the countries for regional stability, and congratulated Greece on its selection of Israeli defense systems." In his remarks, Netanyahu referenced the signing of the "Achilles Shield" agreement between Israel and Greece last month, under which Israel will establish a multi-layered air defense system for Greece.
Netanyahu then met with Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Janša, congratulating him on the opening of Israel's embassy in Ljubljana and thanking him for his steadfast support of Israel, which has led to a transformation in relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed opportunities to deepen cooperation between their countries across various fields, and Netanyahu extended an invitation to his Slovenian counterpart to visit Israel.
