Netanyahu Opens Press Conference with “Shema Yisrael” Vow

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu began a press conference by reciting “Shema Yisrael,” referencing a note he placed at the Western Wall: “Like a lion rises, Am Yisrael Chai.” He paid tribute to the families of three murdered hostages returned home, saying, “We do not forget the heavy price of this war.” Netanyahu vowed to transform the region, declaring, “We promised to change the face of the Middle East, and we are doing exactly that. Days of unity, strength, and peace lie ahead.” Addressing Iran, he added, “This is a regime bent on our destruction. That’s why we launched the operation, to eliminate the nuclear and ballistic threat. We are very close to completing the mission.”
