Poll: Opposition Weakens, Ben Gvir Gains

Latest survey indicates the opposition bloc is significantly further from forming a government, while Itamar Ben Gvir's Otzma Yehudit party strengthens its position

A fresh political survey published in Israel Hayom reveals a shifting landscape in Israeli parliamentary politics ahead of potential elections.

According to the poll results, the Yesh party leads with 23 seats in the 120-member Knesset, narrowly ahead of Likud with 22 seats. The Yachad party comes in third place with 13 seats.

Both Yisrael Beiteinu and HaDemocratim would secure 10 seats each under this scenario. Otzma Yehudit, the party led by National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, would gain 9 seats, while United Torah Judaism and the Joint List would each receive 8 seats.

Rounding out the distribution, Shas would obtain 7 seats, with Religious Zionism and Ra'am each securing 5 seats.

The survey indicates that several parties would fail to cross the electoral threshold required for Knesset representation, including Beit Tziyoni, Blue and White, and HaAchdut.

When divided into political blocs, the seat distribution shows the current coalition holding 51 seats, the opposition bloc with 56 seats, and Arab parties controlling 13 seats. This configuration would leave the opposition short of the 61-seat majority needed to form a government without support from other factions.
