NYT: U.S. has plans for potential Iran strike as early as Wednesday, report says

The New York Times reports that CENTCOM has prepared plans for a potential strike in Iran as early as Wednesday evening, according to American officials. The report states that three U.S. aircraft carriers will be in the region after midterm elections, creating ideal conditions for a limited time window. One carrier must return to port after early November, and the military prefers moonless nights in early November for such operations. The article also reports that Israel has provided intelligence to the U.S. suggesting Iran intends to attack neighbors with chemical weapons.
