Sharpening the threat

Iran threatens Paris, London in new video

Propaganda video circulating online shows simulated attacks on military bases in Britain, Germany and France, as IRGC-linked narrator warns Europe: We will punish those who help America harm our women and children

Iran Threatens Missile Strikes on Paris and London in Propaganda Video

A new wave of Iranian psychological warfare presents scenarios of attacks on infrastructure across Europe. The video, accompanied by visual effects simulating strikes on military bases in Britain, Germany and France, features explicit threats from a narrator identified with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

The narrator addresses the European public with a stark warning: "But anyone, anywhere in Europe, who helps America harm our women and children, they are our enemies." Iran intends to act forcefully against those who support Western actions, he adds, declaring: "We will punish these pigs, and whoever or whatever aids and assists in the crimes committed against us."

Alongside the military threats, the video opens with a call for citizens to challenge their governments. The narrator asks viewers whether the time has not come to act, asking: "Has the time not come to rise up and defend the honour, security and independence of Europe?" He calls on them to "expel the thieves and your real enemies from your countries" and to "wash the blood of our loved ones from your hands."

At the end of the video, the central figure, a spokesman for Khatam al-Anbiya, removes his mask and sharpens the message adopting the threatening position.

Meanwhile, the IRGC issued a direct threat against the United States:

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran: "All the latest means and directives of the Supreme Leader, delivered in the meeting with the commanders of the armed forces, have been implemented with full force to deter maximally, and they will operate in cooperation and coordination with the rest of the armed forces, without any hesitation."

"Smart combat readiness, updating the target bank and placing the enemy's tangible and intangible assets within range, and an immediate, effective and geographically unlimited response to any level and type of threat are the basis of our missions today."
