A heated exchange broke out on Radio 103FM between hosts Arel Segal and Eyal Berkowitz over the possibility that the opposition bloc might form a government with the chareidi parties.
Segal pressed Berkowitz repeatedly, asking how he would respond if the opposition, led by Gadi Eisenkot's State Camp, were to sit with Shas and United Torah Judaism. "All the draft law, all the budgets, all the outcry against draft evasion, it all dies," Segal said. "It looks like the opposition is throwing everything in the bin."
Berkowitz replied: "If the chareidim keep saying they won't enlist, and the opposition sits with them anyway, then I think that's the biggest disgrace in history ... I don't think it will happen. I believe Gadi Eisenkot, who said he won't go with those who don't serve. But if he does do it, I'll say it's a disgrace and a shame. I'll make Eisenkot's life hell, and I'll regret that I voted for him. I'll make his life hell the way I did to Netanyahu."
