Zohar: Eisenkot, Bennett plan Arab coalition

Culture Minister Miki Zohar says Eisenkot, Bennett and Lapid are trying to form a coalition with Arab parties at any cost, and names the figures in the opposition bloc blocking the move

Culture Minister Miki Zohar claimed Monday evening that Gadi Eisenkot, Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid are working to establish a government with the Arab parties, and named the figures within the opposition bloc who are preventing it from happening.

"Eisenkot, Bennett and Lapid are trying to go to a coalition with the Arab parties at any cost," Zohar wrote. "It turns out that Liberman and a few sane people in Yesh Atid are preventing this. They are also the ones opposing a broad government and dragging Israel to another election."

Eisenkot has so far refused to reveal his plans, but issued a statement to the public: "The results of the elections to the 26th Knesset are firm and clear. Citizens of Israel, ignore the background noise and ignore the hourly spin. The people are sovereign, and they have spoken: the default government has no majority and it has lost."
