Segal: No government forming

Channel 12 political analyst dismisses both the Arab-backed minority government and the idea of Liberman teaming with the chareidi parties: It's either unity or elections

Amit Segal

Channel 12 political analyst Amit Segal released a video statement dismissing the coalition scenarios circulating in the opposition camp following the 2026 elections, explaining why none of them can work.

"Minutes ago came the announcement of the premature death of the Arab minority government," Segal opened. "That's what Avigdor Liberman said. The truth is it was born dead, and anyone with a head understood there's no chance of 48 mandates with Ra'am and Hadash-Ta'al."

Segal went on to attack the alternative ideas being floated in the change bloc around possible cooperation with the chareidi factions:

"Notice something interesting: after that one died, another fantasy is still alive. Those listening carefully with a musical ear heard that Liberman supposedly didn't rule out the chareidim, so now comes the fantasy of 48 mandates of the change bloc together with Shas and United Torah Judaism, and there's your 61."

"Come on, wake up," Segal called out, clarifying the real balance of power in the political system. "As we said on the first night, it's either unity or elections, or elections or unity. Whoever wants to keep living in fantasies, enjoy yourselves."
