BREAKING: Iranian State TV Tells Citizens How to Survive a Nuclear Blast

Iranian state television and news agencies have begun broadcasting instructions telling civilians how to act in the event of a nuclear explosion, according to regional media reports.

The guidance tells viewers not to look at the flash of the explosion, to take cover behind a barrier, lie on the ground and cover their heads and faces. Once the blast wave passes, citizens are told to enter the nearest building, stay away from windows and exterior walls, and avoid sheltering in cars. The broadcasts advise remaining in shelter for at least 24 hours and following official announcements before leaving.

According to the text circulating with the video, viewers are also instructed to wash with lukewarm water and soap, use shampoo without conditioner, rely on bottled water and packaged food, and not assume the area is safe after 24 hours have passed.

Saudi outlet Sabq reported that the video includes dramatized scenes of a nuclear explosion near a residential area, along with instructions to close ventilation outlets and take precautions against radioactive dust.

The broadcasts come amid repeated threats by President Donald Trump to strike Pickaxe Mountain, a heavily fortified underground complex about 2 kilometers from the Natanz nuclear facility, according to the Jerusalem Post. Iran International has described the site as the last significant part of Iran’s nuclear program left untouched after two wars. Iran’s hardline Farhikhtegan newspaper has said Tehran should leave the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and enrich uranium to weapons grade if the site is attacked.

Iran’s joint military command has warned that any attack on nuclear or sensitive sites would widen the war.
