Terror Attack on Jews at Spring Before Yom Kippur

The IDF Spokesperson confirmed an initial report of a shooting attack in the Neveh Tzuf area of the Binyamin region. According to the report, shots were fired from a vehicle at civilians at the Ein Re'aya spring, near Neveh Tzuf. Security forces are investigating the details.

The attack appears to have been a drive-by shooting targeting Jews who were immersing in the spring to purify themselves on the eve of Yom Kippur.

According to the IDF Spokesperson, the terrorist fled the scene.

Following the initial report of the shooting attack in the Neveh Tzuf area of the Binyamin region, large numbers of IDF forces have launched a pursuit of the terrorist and are setting up roadblocks throughout the area.

ZAKA organization reported receiving an initial alert about a terror attack involving gunfire from a vehicle toward civilians at the Ein Re'aya spring. According to the report, there are multiple casualties at the scene. ZAKA teams are en route to the location.

United Hatzalah medical teams are providing initial medical care at the scene to a critically wounded victim, approximately 30 years old.

Hatzalah Judea and Samaria Without Borders reported that one seriously wounded individual, unconscious, has been confirmed at the location. The organization's forces are making their way to the scene to assist and treat the wounded.

The Neveh Tzuf area in the Binyamin region has been the site of multiple shooting incidents and terror attacks in recent months. Security forces have operated in the area as part of extensive counter-terrorism operations, including demolishing terrorists' homes and arresting wanted individuals.
