The rescue aircraft at Ben Gurion Airport

The rescue flight that took off from Saudi Arabia approximately an hour ago entered Israeli airspace a short time ago and landed safely at Ben Gurion Airport.

Medical and support teams were already deployed at the airport to treat those returning to Israel following the dramatic incident. Transport Minister Miri Regev ordered airport and ministry teams to provide all necessary services to the arriving passengers. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to arrive at the airport to greet the passengers.

Initial footage from the landing moments in Israel is now arriving from emergency teams at Ben Gurion Airport, showing the emotional moments of arrival.

Video from inside the passenger cabin during the landing in Israel shows the strong spirit of the rescued passengers, who sang and celebrated their return to Israel.

Additional footage shows the first moments of passengers disembarking from the aircraft onto Israeli soil at the airport. Numerous emergency teams arrived at the scene prepared for any eventuality, but according to reports so far, only a few passengers sought medical treatment. At least one passenger who suffered injuries is expected to be evacuated for medical care.
