Shin Bet chief seeks to question four senior Arab party politicians as criminal suspects

Shin Bet chief Zini is seeking to question four senior politicians from Arab parties under caution as criminal suspects: an unnamed senior Knesset member against whom significant evidence reportedly exists, Ahmad Tibi (Ta'al party chairman), Mansour Abbas (Ra'am party chairman), and Sami Abu Shehadeh (Balad party chairman). The Attorney General has demanded to review evidence before approving questioning, though this has only been done for the unnamed lawmaker. A joint Shin Bet-police investigative team was agreed upon, but the Shin Bet has not yet transferred materials to police two days later, delaying the investigation. The Shin Bet, police, and Attorney General's Office have not commented.
