Soroka Hospital Evacuates Patients After Direct Hit
Prof. Shlomi Kodesh, director of Soroka Medical Center in Be’er Sheva, said the hospital suffered severe damage in the Iranian missile strike, with additional buildings affected by the blast wave. Some patients are being evacuated, and the hospital is treating only life-threatening cases. “We have minor injuries,” he confirmed, adding that teams are working to assess the extent of the damage. Kodesh noted that the hospital did not receive a specific warning ahead of the strike but acted according to a predefined emergency protocol, which he said proved effective in minimizing casualties.
