A LAW anti-tank rocket stolen from the IDF was fired overnight Wednesday at a residential building in Jaljulia housing a senior organized crime figure. No one was injured in the incident, which police believe was criminally motivated.
The LAW is a single-use shoulder-fired rocket of American manufacture. Police arrived at the scene upon receiving the report and launched searches and a manhunt for the suspects, while collecting evidence and findings from the site.
According to a police statement, "Officers from the Qassem station opened an investigation a short time ago after receiving a report of stolen military ordnance being fired at a residential compound. There are no casualties in the incident."
"At the conclusion of processing the scene, the findings were transferred for further forensic analysis at the Israel Police identification and explosives laboratories."
Jaljulia is an Arab-Muslim local council in Israel's Central District, located 3 kilometers east of Kfar Saba.
