Shut Your Mouth: Chaos Erupts in Court Over Murder Suspect's Mother

The Jerusalem District Court is expected to rule later today (Monday) on whether to release Linor Sasson, 46, to house arrest. Sasson is the mother of Avior Sasson, the prime suspect in the murder of Benayahu Razi. She faces charges of accessory after the fact and obstruction of justice, with her criminal history taking center stage in the proceedings, N12 reported.

Investigation materials presented to the court reveal that Sasson has a significant criminal record, including prison time for fraud, threats, and extortion. Her husband, Kfir Sasson, is also a convicted criminal who previously escaped from prison and opened fire at police officers.

The victims' representative argued during the hearing that Sasson's criminal past demonstrates she cannot be trusted, and that she is capable of manipulating others and obstructing proceedings even from a distance. He urged the court to keep her in custody until the conclusion of legal proceedings against her.

Chief Inspector Rotem Hila Zaken, who is leading the investigation, stated that Sasson drove her son to carry out the act. After the murder, according to the allegations, she helped him escape and instructed the other accomplices on how to act and leave Jerusalem in order to obstruct the investigation.

"They All Need to Be in Prison"

The court hearing was marked by intense confrontations. Dikla, Benayahu's mother, told N12 that the family of one of the other female suspects shouted at her in the courtroom to shut her mouth and threatened to sue her. Dikla sharply criticized the possibility of releasing the suspect, stating: "If a mother chooses to take her son to acts of violence and murder, it's a sign that she's not thinking about her children but using them."

"They all need to be in prison there, until their last day," the grieving mother said. "They pose a danger. They are murderers in every sense, they are charged with intentional murder and I hope they get what they deserve and that we won't have to fear them and won't have to suffer from them anymore."

According to the indictment filed against the seven defendants in the case, Shilat Chuta and Agam Tzarfati rented an apartment for the weekend together with the deceased and his friend. After several days, they raised allegations of violence by the boys and traveled to Linor Sasson's apartment, whom they had not known previously.

There, a violent mobilization began that included arming themselves with weapons such as clubs, knives, and a sharpened hammer. The investigation reveals that Agam Tzarfati watched the attack live via real-time video call and even smiled during parts of it.

Police emphasize that each of the suspects took an active part in the violent incident that ended in the tragic outcome. The decision regarding Linor Sasson is expected later today.
