Reality star speaks after assault arrest

Nathanel Rodnitsky, former Big Brother contestant, posts first response to allegations, says one day my son will read everything written. Father hospitalized amid the affair

Big Brother

Nathanel Rodnitsky, a former contestant on Israel's "Big Brother" reality show, published a detailed post on social media Wednesday in which he asked to present his side of the story following reports that he assaulted his partner. In the charged and personal post, Rodnitsky emphasized his desire to protect his family's dignity and his children's future.

"I am at home. In due time I will tell and share from my point of view," Rodnitsky wrote. "I will not defame or speak ill of my son's mother. This affair was conducted in the media, without my being given the opportunity to respond to the matters."

"One day my son will read everything written"

Rodnitsky made clear that his central motive is concern for his children's future. "I have a son almost 3 years old who is the most precious thing to me in this entire world," he shared. "One day my son and my former partner's daughters will grow up and read everything that was written. Therefore I will always guard my tongue."

The reality star added that he intends to conduct the disputes far from the spotlight. "What is between us needs to be resolved between us, and there is still a vision for the appointed time," he noted. "I want to thank the Israel Police who are doing their work faithfully and the court that is doing justice."

Rodnitsky thanked his attorney Doron Noy, his family and his friends for their support. "Enormous thanks to my guardian angel attorney Doron Noy who watched over me before I even knew him, to my family members and friends for the support. I love you all. I will not answer everyone who wrote to me, just give me time."

Medical drama in the background: father hospitalized

Alongside his remarks, Rodnitsky revealed a medical drama that occurred in the background of the arrest. "I want to send from here a complete recovery to my father who is more precious to me than gold, who because of this entire affair collapsed yesterday and required medical treatment," he wrote. "Thank G-d to everyone who prayed for him it is still not too late so we all hope that we will soon set out on a new path."

At the end of a stormy hearing held Wednesday, police requested to extend Rodnitsky's detention by six additional days. The judge decided on his release to house arrest for a week and a ban on contact with the complainant.

Rodnitsky, who participated in "Big Brother" about three years ago, has since become one of the familiar and covered figures in the local scene. During his participation in the program he was known as a housemate who entered into confrontations and had controversial behavior.

Rodnitsky is asking to maintain privacy and focus on the future. "What is between us needs to be resolved between us," he repeated and emphasized, while asking the public to give him time and space.
