Syrian President al-Sharaa frustrated with unfulfilled U.S. commitments on Israel strikes

Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa has expressed frustration that U.S. commitments are not being implemented on the ground, according to the Hezbollah-affiliated Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar. The report states Trump promised al-Sharaa that Washington would compel Israel to stop strikes in southern Syria and withdraw to positions held before the Assad regime's fall. Al-Sharaa is also reportedly disappointed with American, Arab and Western efforts to finance Syrian infrastructure projects.
