Talks with WizzAir on Establishing Ramon Airport Base Advance

A Wizz Air delegation wrapped up its visit to Eilat, with sources familiar with the discussions saying the trip focused on the airline’s interest in establishing an operational base at Ramon Airport. Moshe Ben Zaken, Director General of the Ministry of Transport, joined parts of the visit and agreed with Wizz Air officials to outline the company’s requirements for advancing the creation of the Ramon base. Before departing from Ben-Gurion Airport, the delegation also held a meeting with Transport Minister Miri Regev.
