Trump criticizes Nobel Peace Prize awarded to former UN rights chief Navi Pillay

President Trump sharply criticized the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to Navi Pillay, former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights. Pillay chaired a committee that declared Israel is committing "genocide" in Gaza a year ago. Trump stated: "I know nothing about this woman, and have never heard of her! In fact, to the best of my knowledge, no one has heard of her except for the very clear fact that she, very obviously, hates Israel." He added that "The Nobel Peace Prize has lost its credibility forever at the hands of a group of extreme ideologues." At a campaign rally, Trump warned Norway: "we will not forget this!"
