Turkey's military aerobatic team has drawn international attention with a dramatic performance over Egypt's pyramids, part of a major aviation exhibition unfolding just hundreds of kilometers from Israel's borders. The "Turkish Stars" demonstration squadron executed precision maneuvers that left smoke trails forming the crescent and star of Turkey's national flag across Egyptian skies.
The display took place at the El Alamein International Airshow, running September 8-10, 2026, in its second edition. The event aims to establish itself as a premier platform for aerospace and defense industries across the Middle East and Africa. Turkey's participation extends beyond aerial theatrics, major Turkish defense manufacturers including Turkish Aerospace Industries, Aselsan, and Makina ve Kimya Endüstrisi are exhibiting at the show, signaling Ankara's ambition to showcase both its air force capabilities and its rapidly advancing domestic defense industry.
