U.S. Treasury Secretary says Iran in panic, no oil loaded since August
U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that Iran is in a state of panic, noting the country has threatened imprisonment for anyone publishing currency exchange rates. Bessent said no oil has been loaded at Iran's Kharg Island facility since August, and Iran currently has no oil en route to customers by sea. He compared the situation to "a company in the process of bankruptcy, where no one is willing to give it money anymore."
