Watch: Heavy Destruction from a Rocket Hit at the Biranit Base in the North

The rocket has a relatively short range - less than 10 kilometers - but contains a very large amount of explosive material - tens and maybe even hundreds of kilograms. According to the documentation from the base, the auxiliary buildings of the base, which were built as barracks with light construction, were completely destroyed. The base soldiers who were in protected areas were not harmed.

Following the shooting, the IDF strongly attacked the sources of the shooting in the Shiite villages opposite Biranit - Marun al-Ras and Aita al-Sha'ab using artillery and helicopter gunships.

The IDF spokeswoman said: "The IDF attacked in the morning in several locations with artillery fire in the territory of Lebanon. After that, a number of launches from the territory of Lebanon towards the territory of the State of Israel were detected in the area of Arab El Aramsha, Biranit and the area of Baram. There were no casualties. As a result of the firing towards the area of Biranit, a fire broke out, IDF forces and firefighting teams are at the scene. The IDF also attacked the sources from which the launches were made."
