Speaker Johnson Says Trump Is Right to Protect U.S. Forces and Stand With Israel Amid Regional Tensions

U.S. Speaker of the House Johnson expressed strong support for President Trump’s handling of the Middle East conflict, stating, “The president is making the right decisions... we have to protect U.S. assets and, obviously, our personnel.” He emphasized the presence of 40,000 U.S. service members stationed in the region, affirming that Trump is “fully within his authority to act in that manner, and that is what the commander in chief is supposed to do.” Johnson also underscored the importance of standing by Israel, calling it “the only stable democracy in the region.”
