Putin: A Deal Must Respect Both Iran’s Right to Nuclear Energy and Israel’s Right to Security

Russian President Vladimir Putin called on all parties in the Iran–Israel conflict to reach an agreement that balances the interests of both sides. “The deal must recognize Iran’s right to peaceful nuclear energy — not only for the energy sector — and Israel’s unconditional right to security,” he stated. “Such a solution is possible.” Putin also revealed that Russia received assurances from Israel that it will not target the 200 Russian workers stationed at the Bushehr nuclear facility.
