A man told Manoto News: “I managed to contact my family in Arak through a friend who briefly had internet access. Thankfully, they’re fine. The internet is down, and international calls aren’t going through. People there are okay — the city is calm and life is normal. The explosion at the Arak heavy water facility was far from the city itself and didn’t affect residents. I just want people with family in Iran to know: there’s no need to panic.”
