In the wake of the shocking assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, Fox News contributors and allies are mourning the 31-year-old activist as a pivotal figure in the conservative movement.
Kirk, gunned down during a campus event in Orem, Utah, on Wednesday, was more than a political operative; he was a bridge-builder for young conservatives and a fierce defender of the U.S.-Israel alliance. "Charlie Kirk was our Abraham," said Rabbi Chaim Mentz in an exclusive interview on Fox & Friends Thursday morning.
Mentz added, "Just like Abraham, Charlie bought people to his tent. Charlie never got angry. Abraham never got angry. Look what Abraham built. Look at these 3,000 people. You just killed their main guy. Do you see rioting in the streets? Do you see anybody going across America saying, "We're gonna go "No Justice, No Peace" ... You know what they're all doing? They're all talking about "How can we make America Better? How can we become better?" And that is the threat to the other side."
