Five IDF soldiers were injured this morning (Wednesday) following a coordinated attack involving two Hezbollah explosive drones near the village of Tabnit, in the Nabatieh area of southern Lebanon.
The attack unfolded in two stages, beginning early in the morning:
- Around 6:00 AM: The first explosive drone detonated near an IDF tank belonging to the Givati Brigade Combat Team operating in the area of Tabnit village. The shrapnel from the blast wounded four soldiers, necessitating an immediate medical evacuation.
- Minutes Later: As forces worked to rescue the casualties, a second Hezbollah explosive drone struck the designated evacuation vehicle. This second blast wounded a fifth IDF soldier.
According to official updates from the IDF Spokesperson and military correspondents, the casualties include one soldier in serious condition, two in moderate condition, and two who sustained light injuries. All injured personnel have been evacuated to the hospital via helicopter, and their families have been notified.
