Norway defeated Senegal 3-2 in New Jersey to advance to the round of 32. Erling Haaland scored twice (48', 58') and Pedersen added a goal (43') to secure Norway's progression. Ismaïla Sarr scored twice for Senegal (53', 90+3'), but it wasn't enough to earn a point for his team.
